Guided walks in the Alpilles, canoeing on the Gardon river under the Pont du Gard aqueduct, a balloon ride over the Montagnette or the Luberon mountains (especially spectacular early summer during lavender season), horse riding in the marshlands of the Camargue among the flamingoes, bulls and various birdlife, exploring the countryside around Maillane by bicycle (very beautiful in early spring when the almond blossom and poppies are flowering). You certainly won‘t be short of choice if you like your holidays to be active.
There are also tennis courts in Maillane and a scenic 9-hole golf course at Les Baux (with the most beautiful clubhouse in a converted mas).
