This area of Provence offers a huge range of place to eat and drink from top-class restaurants to informal bistrots and cafés. Michelin-starred big name restaurants include L'Oustau de Baumanière in a spectacular rural location in the Les Baux Valley, la Mirande in the chic Avignon hotel of the same name, and our own favourite, Chez Bru, in the pretty Alpilles village of Eygalières which serves top quality food and wine in a relaxed environment.
But you don't have to break the bank to enjoy some excellent meals: L'Oustalet Maianen in Maillane, the popular family-run Bistrot du Paradou near Maussane and Le Bistrot Aubergine in Eygalières all serve unpretentious quality food at reasonable prices, as does our perennial favourite, the Bistrot des Alpilles in St Rémy.
We also love La Chassagnette in the Camargue and La Charcuterie in Arles, La Place in Maussane and Le Carré d'Herbes in Isle sur la Sorgue.
