Walking and Hiking near St Remy De Provence, Alpilles, Cote du Rhone

Walking / Hiking: Lots of trails for all different levels of fitness: the Grand Randonnée GR6 route, for example, crosses the full length of the Alpilles. NB access to much of the Alpilles is highly restricted June through September for risk of fire. Ask at the St Rémy tourist office for details and trail maps, if you don't find what you need in the house.

Around the lake at St Rémy - Lac de Peiroou - you will find a selection of short colour-coded walks, especially suitable for children.

We also recommend the designated Van Gogh trail and, outside high summer, perhaps a guided nature walk in the Alpilles: please consult for further details.
